Dr. Zhang graduated from mathematics department of Peking University, and got his Ph D from Boston University. He has been tutoring high school algebra, geometry for grades 8, 9, 10 and 11 for many years. He also trained students for grades 6, 7 and 8 for mathcounts and grades 8, 9, 10 for AMC. Every student he trained so far for mathcounts had gotten to state level. Almost every student he trained so far for AMC had gotten to AIME level. He also tutored students for Linear algebra, AP calculus, AP statistics.
Dr. Mu received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineer from UCONN and Bachelor in Mechanics from Peking University. He has been tutoring high school and middle school physics for multiple years and has professional experience of college teaching. He is currently a local IT professional and loves to assist young people in their academic progress.
Alice Emery earned her Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and her Masters degree from Columbia University Teachers College in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She taught for over 10 years at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, in Mexico City. In Connecticut, she teaches academic writing, SAT preparation, ESL, Spanish and language teaching methodologies.
Samuel Gonzales received dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Chinese from the University of Pittsburgh and his Master's degree from Yale University in East Asian Studies. As an undergraduate he assisted ESL students with improving their English, and has tutored university students while living abroad in China and Japan. In addition to SAT preparation, he is also able to assist students with applying to colleges, scholarships, and grants.
Allison Bass-Riccio has been working with English second language learners since 2008, where she first worked as a writing tutor at Southern Connecticut State University. While there, she worked on a handbook for working with ESL students. Allison has an MA in English, concentration in African American Literature and an Advanced Certificate in Women's Studies. Currently, she is teaching at Cheshire Academy, a private international boarding school, where she is a teacher, adviser, dorm parent, and stage crew director.
Rodion Kosovsky is a Yale Ph.D. candidate with over 9 years of teaching experience ranging from high school to college seniors. He's taught at the City College of New York, Southern Connecticut State University, and Yale University. He has a commitment to teaching excellence and individual student success.
